The Vintage Inspired Passionista and I attended the Whole Foods Market Asheville Sneak Peek Tour on Friday, August 22. The weather was perfect, and the view from the Tap Haus was spectacular.
I can’t keep the view from y’all. I really wish I had the photography skills to capture the real beauty of the vista from the Tap Haus. If you are anywhere near Asheville, North Carolina or are planning a trip to the area, Whole Foods Market Tap Haus is a must. *smile*
Hey, ya’ll! Welcome back to Sweet Sorghum Living. Today on the blog, we are chatting about the new Whole Foods Market Asheville. I am so excited about the big grand opening that will be happening tomorrow–Tuesday, August 26. I will have more info about that later, but for now, let’s take a sneak peek of this wonderland of groceries.
A little view of the outside. I love all the wood details. Honestly, I was taking in all of the amazing design of the Whole Foods Market more than I was listening to the tour. Please don’t judge me for being a little distracted–y’all would have been too *wink*
Look at this awesome signage. What is not to love! This is located in the Prepared Foods pizza station.
I will be totally jumping around on this sneak peek–I apologize for not being a very good tour guide…this place is fabulous, and I am sharing all of the things that I really love about this 35,000 square foot store of healthy options.
Did you know that Whole Foods Market in Asheville will help you with your special diets? Have food sensitivities or allergies? Hate reading labels and searching the grocery store for foods you can eat? Let Whole Foods Market Asheville help you out–from healthy eating education to a personal shopping concierge, this not-your-average market is looking out for you and your health…and your time.
I am really looking forward to using the personal shopping concierge at Whole Foods Market Asheville because I can call or email my complex, gluten-free shopping list to them…then let them do the shopping…I can enjoy a fun afternoon in Asheville…pick up my groceries…and drive back to Johnson City…relaxed and fully stocked *smile*
Coffee Bar!! My favorite kind of bar…seriously…it is. Whole Foods Market Asheville’s coffee bar has espresso beverages, fresh- and cold-brewed coffees, juices, and made-in-store gelato and sorbet. I am so giddy right now.
I have got to focus. I am so ready to shop and drink coffee and eat gelato…deep breath…Before I get even more distracted…Here is a quick list of awesomeness you will find at Whole Foods Market Asheville…I can’t remember everything from the tour–because I was totally awed by the decor–so that means that y’all will have to go check it out for yourselves *smile*
- Full-service Seafood department
- Full-service Meat department featuring pasture-raised beef from local supplier Hickory Nut Gap Farm
- Walk-in beer cooler
- 12-tap growler station with craft beers from breweries across the region located in the Speciality department
- All-organic Salad Bar
I am totally pumped about the cheese selection. Thank goodness, I am not lactose intolerant *smile*
I hear a choir of angels singing *smile* If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with gluten-free living and shopping, ask the store’s Healthy Eating Educator for help. Also, other team members are available to help navigate gluten-free options and find products that best fit those stressful shopping needs. Whew! I know I will be asking for assistance because some days I just need a little extra help figuring out what to eat…and where to find it *smile*
Just a little peek of the gluten-free goodness. Did y’all know that Whole Foods Market carries thousands of gluten-free products, from small producers to larger brands, all meeting their quality standards. To help shoppers, they put together an extensive list of gluten-free products available on each store’s website, and that list is updated regularly.
When you shop at Whole Foods Market Asheville, you are supporting local farmers and businesses. You know from where your food is coming. You know what is in your food. The shopping experience is pleasant. There is no road rage here *smile*
Drum roll for the most awesomest (yes, I did say most awesomest.) gem of Whole Foods Market Asheville….Let’s hear it for the Tap Haus…
A little peek inside the Tap Haus, the upper-level beer garden…the tables in this place are incredible. All of them built by Oxform Studio. Stay tuned to the Facebook page for a peek at one of the tables. To find out more about this design and build studio, click here.
Now, I was unable to partake in the goodies that were being served to the media…but the hubby did…and he said everything was delicious…of course, he ate more than he talked *wink*
Butterkase Mac & Cheese and Seasonal Succotash: The hubby gave both of these two thumbs up…well, it was only one thumb and some nodding because I asked him while he was eating *smile*
The hubby’s ultimate favorite item was the Beer-braised Bratwurst with green apple and sauerkraut. He liked them all–but I told him that he had to pick an ultimate favorite. He is such a sweet hubby for taste testing the Tap Haus light bites for me *smile*
Food, beer, and a view…and there will also be live music on the balcony from time to time…all located inside Whole Foods Market Asheville at Tap Haus.
My goodness! There is still much I could share, but I must be off to make a shopping list for tomorrow’s grand opening. Oh, yes! The grand opening details. I almost forget.
