Hey, y’all! Welcome back to Sweet Sorghum Living–a place to sit a spell with a good cup of coffee *smile* Today on the blog, we are chatting about the gluten-free top picks of the week–which are all about easy and fun. Earlier today, I had a business lunch with Abby (about new and exciting changes coming to our blogs) at Mellow Mushroom in JC. The gluten-free menu made me smile with its catchy slogan of “YOU’RE NO LONGER A SECOND-CLASS CITIZEN.” LOVE IT!!!!! I believe every restaurant and food product company should follow suit and create healthy foods that everyone can eat *smile*
Some days…well…most days, I do not have time to prepare lunch. I feel lucky to have time to make a sandwich…I know…I should make fancy lunches ahead of time and freeze them with fancy labels on them…yes, I know that it would be a healthier alternative than sandwiches and corn dogs…but corn dogs are fun to eat…and Applegate understands my time dilemma…thank you, Applegate, for being there for me and creating fun lunch food *smile*
I am always looking for portable, packable snacks because it seems like I am out more than I am in. My go-to brand for delicious on-the-go snacks is Enjoy Life. They make yummy nut-less trail mixes, and I am currently crushing on the Beach Bash variety.
I love snack crackers. Don’t get me wrong…I love a lot of different foods–from oranges to steak….But to be perfectly honest, I am a grazer–which is bad for a Type 1 diabetic…I really need to eat on a schedule…believe me I have tried…and I am still trying…but I have always eaten a little here…and a little there…and that is why I love snack crackers. And I love Goldfish crackers because they are adorable and fun to eat. What am I five? Yes, I am when it comes to my snack crackers…and cereal….Anyway, I am so glad that Goldfish crackers have a GF version. *whoop whoop happy dance*
Thanks for sitting a spell with me as we chatted about the gluten-free top picks of the week which are all about easy and fun. Remember SSL’s tips about gluten-free foods–always read the ingredients, research the products, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. I always sample a new item before I eat a full serving. And remember–what doesn’t bother me might bother you!
