The Regeneration Station is located in Asheville, North Carolina, and it is a wonderland of beautiful, junky treasures.
Hey, y’all! Welcome to Sweet Sorghum Living–a place to sit a spell with a good cup of coffee and chat about everything from gluten-free snacks to DIY projects. Today on the blog, we are taking a look at one of my favorite places to shop for treasures + my recent radio interview.
I don’t know about y’all, but I am always up for a road trip–especially road trips that involve junking–looking for those rusty, forgotten pieces and parts…hunting for furniture that needs a little love…yes, junkin’ road trips are the best! The good news is you don’t have to go dumpster diving in order to find hidden gems. You can get in your car and drive to Asheville, North Carolina–a vibrant city filled with all kinds of places to eat, drink, and treasure hunt.
A few months ago, I discovered an awesome store full of antique treasures, vintage items, upcycled pieces, and repurposed things. It is called The Regeneration Station–and it is not to be missed if you are visiting Asheville…and if you live anywhere in and around Asheville–go…like right now *wink*

This beauty would make a fabulous base for a sideboard in a dining room. I love the color, and it has just the right amount of rusty goodness. Head on over to 26 Glendale Avenue in Asheville for more rusty gems.

I admit that I have this love affair with rusty metal objects. This set of locker doors would make a wonderful magnet board for a home command station. There is no need to always paint and add to…just let the object be itself *smile*

My daughter loves vintage typewriters. When she gets her own house, it will probably have a room dedicated just to her vintage typewriter collection!

I really regret not getting these vintage cafeteria trays because they would be perfect for outdoor dining. I think I need to set aside some time to head back to The Regeneration Station. I also love the typewriter stand *smile*

Is there anything better than old tool boxes! They are perfect for organizing and are awesome enough to stay out on the table.

There are no words for how much I adore these vintage chairs. The hubby said I have too many old chairs…so, no more until I get rid of some of the ones I have *sad face*
The Regeneration Station is a fabulous place to spend an afternoon. The staff is super friendly + the selection is beyond amazing.
Speaking of beyond amazing, I had so much fun being interviewed by Tyler and Nikki of The Regeneration Station at the Independent Asheville Radio station (1350 WZGM). We chatted about everything from my favorite places to find junk to a road trip to…and then a little about a secret I am keeping from….Now, pour yourself another cup of coffee and sit a spell with my radio interview “Going Junking with Chasidy Hathorn” to find out more about this Southern Belle who goes junkin’ in her heels *smile*
