Hey, y’all! Welcome back to Sweet Sorghum Living! We are so happy that y’all joined us today because we have a special treat–our top picks from the Birmingham Home + Garden Show. Whew! This was such a hard top picks to put together because there were so many fabulous vendors and products from which to choose. Now, let’s sit a spell with a good cup of coffee and take a look at what the SSL team thought was the best of the best.
We love Encore Azaleas, and this particular color really grabbed our attention at the garden show. “Autumn Royalty” will add a punch of color to any landscape. Click here to visit the Encore Azalea website and to find out more about this hardy, low-maintenance, reblooming, colorful plant that will have the neighbors staring.
What’s not to love about coffee!
Great display and healthy choice at the Western Supermarket Food Pavilion.
The delicious aroma and informative displays drew us into the “Beef, It’s What’s For Dinner” exhibit.
Hands down the best sweet tea on the market!
Fabulous inspiration at the Backyard Paradise garden display.
Love the outdoor pizza oven!
Totally crushing on the Coral Bark Japanese Maple!
Oh.My.Goodness. This chair was soooo comfy + the color combo is totally classic.
Of all the hot tubs that were at the show, this was our top pick because we love the size, the rich brown and stainless color combo, and the bang for the buck. The “Peyton” from Sundance Spas seats up to six people, has two jet pumps with 35 total jets. It also features 10 multi-colored LED lights and three headrests. Billy Branch from Hollywood Pools can help y’all with all of your outdoor entertaining needs from pools to outdoor furnishings. For more, please visit Hollywood Pools website. Click here.
Just look at it!
This was our second favorite. It is the “Aspen” by Sundance Spas, and it seats 7-8 adults, has three pumps with 66 total jets, and two waterfalls. Hollywood Pools was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful–and because of all of their awesomeness–they are a SSL Top Pick.
Southern Botanical also wowed us with their creative and lovely garden exhibit.
L.O.V.E. this walkway!
The next several photos show partiality to the world’s most beautiful and best smelling flower. Hands down. THE BEST. *wink*
What is not to love!
No arguing that this classic beauty is the best of the best of all the beauties *wink*
Honestly, I had to be restrained from picking them.
This fire pit from Hardscape Elements is an amazing upcycle.
Southeastern Salvage Home Emporium never ceases to amaze us with all of their fabulousness.
Two thumbs up and five stars to Burleson Pool Company, Inc. for a beautiful booth and water feature exhibit. It was hard to capture the photo because the tiles were so sparkly!
Greg’s Antiques & Garden had really cool yard art at the Birmingham Home + Garden Show. We saw lots of folks walking away with their new yard treasures.
A closer look at the Epoxy Garage Flooring. This particular favorite is called “Dolphin”–and it will certainly make an ugly garage floor beautiful!
Y’all know how much we love handmade and small businesses–so there was no question about picking ArtWear Design as a top pick. But it wasn’t just that…oh, no! It was their incredibly darling tees that had us drooling!
Now, don’t fret if you were not at the home show, and you didn’t have a chance to pick up one of these super soft tees because y’all can shop online in your pjs by clicking here.
My personal favorite of the ArtWear Tees. Abby loves the “the Magic City” one the best.
The Spinks chatted about everything from budgets to trends at the Birmingham Home + Garden Show.
Two of the newest stars of HGTV, John and Whitney Spinks, chatting with Abby. John has a residential construction background, and Whitney has a passion for all things design. Whitney channels her passion via her blog Drab to Fab Design, and together they own a business called 27 South Design Group in Jacksonville, Florida. John and Whitney showcased their flair for affordable design, shared their best DIY tricks and gave the tools needed to overcome renovation challenges.
When Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge bought the Beekman Farm in upstate New York, they didn’t just start a farm, they started a movement. A mere six years later they have a hit TV show, bestselling books, product lines in leading retailers, a massive social following, and a James Beard nominated lifestyle website. They’ve been featured in most major media outlets, including The New York Times, USA Today, Vanity Fair, The Martha Stewart Show, Rolling Stone, Dr. Oz, Vogue, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Rachel Ray, WSJ, O Magazine, and more.
Thanks so much for sitting a spell with me today as we looked at the SSL Top Picks from the Birmingham Home + Garden Show. I know I left there totally inspired and ready for warmer weather so I can get the hubby started on the “Honey-Do List” *wink*
