I am not a foodie or a food photographer; but I do enjoy cooking and eating gluten-free muffins *wink*
Hey, y’all! Welcome to Sweet Sorghum Living–a place to sit a spell with a good cup of coffee and enjoy good conversations about everything from home renovation projects to random road trips. Today on the blog, I am chatting about the gluten-free top picks of the week.
I know that it has been a bit since we chatted about gluten-free food finds, but I have been running around like mad trying to get all of my Etsy orders packed and shipped. I am not complaining, but some days I wish there were more than one of me *wink*
Because I am really busy with everything from laundry to walking the furbabies + dedicating every spare moment to creating new art pieces, writing Etsy listings, and marketing my shop, I don’t have time for elaborate meals or snacks. So, when I go to the grocery store, I look for simple + quick + good.
I love muffins. I really do. And I really love muffins with fresh fruit added to them. I discovered a delicious and easy muffin mix at Whole Foods Market in Asheville and added fresh strawberries from Stanley’s Produce & Garden Center in Johnson City. By the way, y’all have to try the strawberries from Stanley’s–oh.my.goodness! They smell divine and taste deliciously sweet. Where was I? Oh, yes! The muffin mix *smile*
I really wish I could tell y’all that I eat kale for breakfast, but I don’t…and probably never will…I guess I would eat kale for breakfast, if I were forced to…or if I had to save the world from destruction…
What I can tell y’all is I do like to eat (on occasion–not like everyday) powdered donuts for breakfast…and brunch…and late night snacks.
Finding a gluten-free version proved to be a challenge. But I didn’t give up. And I found one that is sooooo good. Even the hubby loves them–which that says a lot! Personally, I love eating them straight out of the freezer–slightly thawed–but not too thawed.
Thanks so much for sitting a spell with me today as we chatted about gluten-free muffins and powdered donuts. If you have a favorite gluten-free muffin mix or donut brand, please share it with us!
Also, be sure to check out my brand new Etsy shop for all kinds of reclaimed wood adorableness and even a proud peacock *smile*
