Proud Mom Moment: (Reblog)The Genesis of S&S: Overcoming the Idea of the “Normal Teenager”

This is how I will forever see my daughter...little and playing dress up in my closet. In reality, she is 18 years old--running two blogs and trying her hardest to make a positive difference in this world full of negativity and critics.

Hey, y’all. Welcome back to Sweet Sorghum Living. Today on the blog, I am reblogging my daughter’s newest project–Sixteen & Successful. I am so very proud of her for having the courage to step out on faith…to take on the responsibility of another blog…to stand up for what she believes in….As a mom, I want my daughter to be happy, to not hurt, to be successful, to not be made fun of, to be educated, to not be bullied, to be beautiful, to not be stereotyped, to enjoy life….I want her to try…to believe in herself…if she fails while trying her best, she is not a failure–she is a success because she had the courage to try.
